Excise flying squad team got big success against illegal liquor

Surguja. Under the guidance of Divisional Excise Deputy Commissioner Vijay Sen Sharma, the Excise Flying Squad team is continuously taking action. In this series, Udandasta team has got another big success. On Saturday, January 6, the Flying Squad team raided a house in Tunguri of Lakhanpur police station and recovered 33 boxes of Goa liquor which was smuggled from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh.

According to the information, the flying squad team had received information that a huge quantity of liquor of Madhya Pradesh had been landed at the house of Seegan Pankra, resident of Tunguri in Lakhanpur police station. After which the flying squad team under the leadership of Assistant District Excise Officer Ranjit Gupta surrounded Seegan’s house. During this time, as soon as Seegan started taking out the box from an isolated room behind his house to give it to a customer, he was caught by the Excise Flying Squad team. But during the action, Seegan dodged and escaped. After which the team chased him far into the forest but he escaped.

Let us tell you that, during this action, the Excise team has recovered 33 boxes of Goa liquor which was smuggled from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh and was brought to Chhattisgarh, the estimated value of which is said to be Rs 2 lakh. While investigating the case, the Excise team got information that such a huge quantity of illicit liquor was delivered to the accused through a contractor from Madhya Pradesh. That contractor is also being traced.
