
Uttarakhand Celebrates Holi with Enthusiasm
Holi celebrations are in full swing across Uttarakhand, with people enjoying the festival with great energy and joy. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh have extended their best wishes to the people of the state.
Holi Celebrated at Raj Bhavan, Governor Extends Wishes
Holi was celebrated at the Raj Bhavan in Dehradun, where Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh participated in the festivities. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Raj Bhavan to greet the Governor and applied gulal to him as a mark of celebration. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and DGP Deepam Seth were also present on the occasion. The Governor conveyed his Holi wishes to all the residents of Uttarakhand. A special Phoolon Ki Holi (Holi with flowers) was also played at Raj Bhavan, adding a unique charm to the celebration.
Holi Festivities in Garhwal and Kumaon
Holi fever has taken over both Garhwal and Kumaon regions. People in Garhwal are actively playing Holi, while the festive spirit is equally vibrant in Kumaon. Groups of holiyars (Holi singers) have been going around different areas since morning, singing traditional Holi songs and spreading joy.
Police on Alert Amid Festivities
With the excitement of Holi, the police are also on high alert to ensure safety and prevent any unruly behavior. Since today is also Jumma (Friday) and Ramadan is ongoing, maintaining law and order is a bigger challenge for the authorities. Special monitoring is being conducted in sensitive areas of the state to ensure a peaceful celebration.
