Bhopal: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said that providing affordable and better health services to the people is among the priorities of the government. It is our responsibility to provide relief to the people from the cost of treatment. The government is continuously working to ensure better health services for every section of the society. Prime Minister Shri Modi said this at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Shri Bageshwar Dham Medical Science and Research Institute to be built at a cost of Rs 218 crore in Gadha of Chhatarpur district.
Governor Mr. Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Khajuraho MP Mr. V.D. Sharma, Saint Mr. Rambhadracharya, Peethadheeshwar Bageshwar Dham Pt. Mr. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, National Katha Vyas Sadhvi Ritambhara Didi, Mahant Mr. Balak Yogeshwar Das Ji were present in the Shila Pujan ceremony.
Prime Minister Shri Modi started his speech in Bundelkhandi dialect by saying Ram Ram to the people with folded hands from my side. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that this is the second time in the last 60 days that he has got the privilege of coming to the land of heroes. Bageshwar Dham is not only a center of faith, but now it is also going to become a center of health. A cancer hospital is being built here with the efforts of Shri Bageshwar Dham Jan Seva Samiti. This work of Pandit Shri Dhirendra Shastri is pious and praiseworthy. He congratulated the people of Bundelkhand for this.
Prime Minister Shri Modi called upon the youth aged 30 years and above to get their health checked and said that if there is even the slightest doubt, they should definitely go to a health institution and get it checked. The main reason for this disease is the consumption of bidi, cigarette, gutkha, pan masala. You and others have to stay away from these deadly drugs. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that before the year 2014, the poor people in the country were more afraid of the cost of treatment than the disease itself. He started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to remove this worry of the poor. Now under this scheme, the poor are getting free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh. Under the scheme, senior citizens above 70 years of age are also being given the facility of free treatment. Prime Minister Shri Modi also mentioned the launch of PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras, where medicines are available at 80 percent discount. Cancer medicines have been made cheaper in this year’s budget. The government is preparing to open cancer day care centers in every district in the next three years. To fight kidney disease, more than fifteen hundred dialysis centers have been opened in more than 700 districts of India where free facilities are being provided. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that he is engaged in public service by becoming a servant of the people.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the Maha Kumbh being held in Prayagraj is a Maha Kumbh of unity, in which the resolve to serve is being displayed. He saluted the hard work and dedication of the sanitation workers who worked day and night to keep the Kumbh site clean and tidy for 24 hours and congratulated them. He praised them and said that the police officers and employees won the hearts of the countrymen by working with full dedication and determination for security. Prime Minister Shri Modi discussed the Netra Maha Kumbh where more than 2 lakh people were examined. In this, free medicines and glasses were provided to one and a half lakh people and cataract operations were done free of cost for 16 thousand people. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham is working to make people aware about the mantra of unity in the country. The work of building a hospital by him in view of the health of the people is also very commendable. Now in Bageshwar Dham, you will get the blessings of food, bhajan and healthy life. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that he will also come to the inauguration of the cancer hospital.

Cancer hospital in the temple will set a new example in the whole country: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Medical Science and Research Institute to be built in Bageshwar Dham temple will set a new example in the whole country, where poor suffering people will get free treatment. Today is a day of enthusiasm and excitement for the land of Bundelkhand. Prime Minister Shri Modi is heartily welcomed and congratulated in the land of Bundelkhand. Today, along with the common people, God is also blessing Bageshwar Dham. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said this while addressing the worship ceremony of Medical Science and Research Institute in Bageshwar Dham. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi gave a big gift to Bundelkhand before the Ken-Betwa river linking campaign. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today he is going to give another big gift to Bundelkhand through the cancer hospital. Where there used to be drought in Bundelkhand, there is happiness of living happily due to the blessings of PM Shri Modi. The dispute over water sharing in different states of the country has ended under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Today we are connecting the rivers of the country.

With the development of health facilities in Bundelkhand, a large number of people of the region will be able to easily avail health services. Along with realizing the concept of a hospital in a temple for the first time, the cancer hospital will be developed as a medical college in the future. There will be a coordination of medicine, knowledge and science in Bageshwar Dham. Pt. Dhirendra Shastri said that a ward in the Research Institute will be named after Prime Minister Shri Modi’s mother. He blessed Prime Minister Shri Modi to stay healthy.
The construction work of the institute will be completed in 3 years
Shri Bageshwar Dham Medical Science and Research Institute will be built in an area of 25 acres. It will become a big support for the poor, helpless and destitute cancer patients of Bundelkhand region. The first phase of the hospital will have a facility of 100 beds in which poor cancer patients will be treated free of cost through modern machines and specialist doctors. The construction of the hospital will be completed in three years. The hospital will also have facilities like food court, exhibition complex, shops, solar parking and Dharamshala. Modern medical facilities like pathology, CT scan, radiotherapy and chemotherapy will also be available.
In the program, Pujya Shri Bageshwar Dham Peethadheeshwar Shri Dhirendra Shastri presented Hanuman Yantra, Shri Balaji’s idol, a book on Sanatan Dharma and Bageshwar Dham Parichay booklet to Prime Minister Shri Modi. Literature written by Swami Rambhadracharya himself and Angavastram were also presented as a blessing.
