Uttarakhand Makes History with 100+ Medals at the 38th National Games
Before the closing of the 38th National Games, Uttarakhand has achieved a historic milestone by crossing the 100-medal mark—something that has never happened before. In the 37th National Games held in Goa, Uttarakhand had won only 24 medals and ranked 25th in the medal tally. However, this year, the state has made a remarkable leap in both medal count and ranking.
A Proud Moment for Uttarakhand
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his pride in the exceptional performance of the athletes, stating that winning 103 medals is a historic achievement for Uttarakhand. He emphasized that this milestone is a big step toward making Uttarakhand a powerhouse in sports, and the government remains committed to promoting sports development.
Uttarakhand’s Medal Tally Reaches 103
As of now, Uttarakhand stands at 7th place in the overall medal tally, securing a total of 103 medals. Competing on home turf, Uttarakhand’s athletes have delivered an outstanding performance. In the previous National Games, the state had managed to win only three gold medals, but this time, the count has surged to 24 gold medals. Along with this, Uttarakhand has also secured 35 silver and 44 bronze medals, taking its total tally to 103 medals.
A New Sporting Era for Uttarakhand
In the medal tally, only Services, Maharashtra, and Haryana are ahead of Uttarakhand. Technically, this places Uttarakhand 4th in overall performance, but due to the ranking system based on the number
