Unit number three of Shri Singaji Thermal Power Station created a new record
Bhopal: The 660 MW unit number 3 of Shri Singaji Thermal Power House Dongalia (Khandwa) of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company has set a new record of daily electricity generation by performing best since its establishment. Unit number 3 generated 158.3 lakh units of electricity yesterday. During this period, the plant load factor (PLF) of the unit was 99.94 percent. Earlier, this unit had generated 158.14 lakh units of electricity daily on 24 November 2018.
Unit number 3 had set a record of daily generation on the 6th day of commissioning. The current power generation capacity of Shri Singaji Thermal Power Station is 2520 MW. Here the first and second units are of 600 MW each and the third and fourth units are of 660 MW each. Unit number 3, which set a new record of daily power generation, was commissioned on 18 November 2018. This unit had generated 158.14 lakh units of daily power on 24 November 2018, the 6th day of its commissioning. Which was the highest daily power generation till date. This record was broken on 3 February last when this unit generated 158.3 lakh units of power in a day.
Coal is obtained from three areas
Shri Singaji Thermal Power Station receives coal from WCL, SECL and NCL. The electricity produced in the power station is evacuated through 400 kV and 220 kV Pithampur and Chhaigaon transmission lines.

Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Shri Neeraj Mandloi and Managing Director of the company Shri Manjeet Singh congratulated the engineers and personnel of Unit Number 3 of Shri Singaji Thermal Power Station for setting a new record of daily power generation.
