In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, a contract for purchasing electricity was signed between Power Management Company and NTPC

Bhopal: In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, MP Power Management Company signed a contract with NTPC to purchase electricity to meet the long-term energy demand of the state. Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar and Additional Chief Secretary Energy Shri Neeraj Mandloi were also present during this. The contract was signed between Power Management Company MD Shri Avinash Lavania and NTPC General Manager Shri Shankar Saran.

Regional Executive Director of NTPC’s West Region, Mr. PK Mishra informed that NTPC is setting up two units of 800 MW each under Stage-2 at Gadarwada in Narsinghpur. Out of these, 800 MW electricity will be given to Madhya Pradesh on the basis of rates determined by the Central Regulatory Commission. The target is to start production in these by 2030-31. NTPC has currently set up two units of 800 MW each in Stage-1 at Gadarwada. Out of these too, Madhya Pradesh is getting 800 MW electricity.

Energy Minister Shri Tomar said that NTPC’s contribution in the development of Madhya Pradesh is welcome. He also discussed with NTPC officials about working in the field of renewable energy. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mandloi talked about participating in the upcoming Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal and signing contracts for various works in the energy sector. NTPC officials gave information about the work being done in the field of nuclear energy, pump storage, renewable energy and power trading.
