Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the first Samadhi Smriti Mahotsav of Jain Acharya Vidyasagar ji Maharaj in Dongargarh.
Raipur 1 February 2025: Saint Shiromani Acharya Vidyasagar ji Maharaj was a source of spiritual consciousness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji always took blessings from Acharya ji, used to get inspiration from him. We all are fortunate that Acharya ji always inspired us. This land of Chhattisgarh is blessed that Acharya ji gave so much love to it and chose this land of the state for Sanlekhana. Today I feel fortunate to have darshan at his Samadhi Smriti Mahotsav. My prayer is that his blessings always remain on Chhattisgarh, there should always be prosperity in the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the first Samadhi Smriti Mahotsav of Jain Acharya Vidyasagar ji Maharaj at Chandragiri pilgrimage site in Dongargarh of Rajnandgaon district and visited the Samadhi where he said this while addressing the followers who had come from all over the country. Sai said that it is the great fortune of the people of Chhattisgarh that Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj spent a long time of his glorious life for religious practice at Chandragiri pilgrimage site in Dongargarh. Acharya Ji’s thoughts and his philosophy of life will continue to inspire all of us. Jain Acharya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj united the society to follow the path of truth, non-violence and charity. Baba Ji’s life is exemplary for everyone.
CM Sai said that Acharya ji’s religious thoughts not only inspire, but his thinking towards India is also exemplary, which has influenced crores of people of the country. He always kept national interest paramount. With his message, he worked to continuously strengthen the unity of India. His clear opinion was that Indian education system should be implemented in India and Indian language should be used for communication between people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tried to give concrete form to his ideas through the National Education Policy. Today our education system is linked to Indian cultural values. We are very happy that this dream of Acharya ji could take concrete form during his lifetime. Pujya Muni Sant Sagar Ji Maharaj, Munis, Sadhvis, followers and other dignitaries from all over the country were present in the festival.
