Technical committee formed to prepare necessary suggestions and guidelines regarding HMPV
A 5-member team under the chairmanship of Dr. SK Pambhoi will give its opinion on HMPV
Raipur, 08 January 2025: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has directed all the states to create awareness regarding Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). In this sequence, a technical committee has been formed to maintain continuous monitoring of the current / updated status regarding Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection in the state of Chhattisgarh.
This technical committee has been formed to prepare necessary suggestions and guidelines regarding prevention, protection, awareness and future action plan of HMPV infection.
Director, Epidemic Control Dr. SK Pambhoi is the chairman of this committee. Along with them, Deputy Director Dr. Khemraj Sonwani, Deputy Director Dr. Dharmendra Gahwai, State Advisor ISDP Ms. Akanksha Rana and State Advisor ISDP Ms. Chaynika Nag are included as members. This technical committee will submit its report to the Health Department from time to time regarding HMPV in the state.
