bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that Israel is world famous for water management. Better water management will be done in Rewa Municipal Corporation area with their experience, efforts and suggestions. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that the scheme should be made keeping in mind the future requirements and demand. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that along with making the water distribution system in Rewa city leakage proof, it is to be ensured that pure water reaches every house. Along with water storage, water enrichment is also necessary to meet the future demand. Treating and reusing water is the need of the hour and is environmentally compatible. Keeping this in mind, the scheme should be made. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla discussed with the Israeli delegation for the expansion, management and strengthening of water supply facility in Municipal Corporation Rewa at the residence office located at Char Imli.
Israel delegation shares experiences on water management and distribution network strengthening The Israeli delegation shared its experience on better water management and distribution network strengthening. Identification of artificial and natural sources is important for water resource management. Artificial pillars include wastewater reuse. Natural pillars include rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, lake and groundwater monitoring, and flood water harvesting. Sustainable use of water resources can be ensured by ensuring conservation and recovery for effective management. The Israeli delegation included Water Attache Mrs. Noa Amsalem, Senior Water Resources Specialist Mr. Neeraj Gehlawat. The Israel Water Attaché in India works to strengthen partnerships in water resources management, technical cooperation and research between the two countries. They exchange technical knowledge in areas such as water conservation, recycling and efficient irrigation techniques. In addition, they provide cooperation in water security, water pollution control and policy making. The Water Attaché encourages joint projects between academic and research institutions and helps develop long-term solutions to tackle the water crisis.
In the next 2 years, 15 thousand tap connections and 450 km distribution network will be ready in Rewa city Technical Advisor UADD in Municipal Corporation Rewa, Satish Kumar Rao gave information about the work done so far in Rewa and the proposed scheme. At present, 45 thousand families have been given tap connections from 550 km distribution network in Rewa city. There is a storage capacity of 23 million kilolitres. 58 MLD water treatment is being done. In the Amrit 2.0 project, it is proposed to provide 37 MLD water treatment plant, 18.7 million kilolitre storage capacity, 450 km distribution network and 15 thousand new water connections by 2026. Also, repairing the old network system is an important part of the action plan. The scheme is being prepared with the aim of ensuring 24×7 water supply in Rewa, for this, a public awareness campaign for responsible use of water will also be included in the proposal.
