Chief Minister Directs Travel Arrangements for Winter Destinations in Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting at his residence, where he instructed officials to initiate travel arrangements for the winter stays at Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri. He emphasized the need for extensive promotion of these winter pilgrimage sites. To encourage visitors, a 10% discount on accommodation will be offered at hotels managed by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam. The Chief Minister will also review the travel arrangements for these winter destinations next week. During the meeting, the Chief Minister outlined plans for a stronger Uttarakhand in the state’s silver jubilee year, directing all departments to work on both short-term and long-term strategies. He will review these plans next week as well. He mentioned that the state government is continuously striving to meet the expectations and hopes of those who played a significant role in the formation of Uttarakhand. With the support of the devoted people of the state, the government is working swiftly across all sectors to position Uttarakhand among the leading states in the country.
The Chief Minister also instructed officials to quickly develop road safety regulations to prevent accidents. He directed the Director General of Police to increase night patrols and enhance police presence on the roads for safety. Additionally, he has called for a comprehensive campaign to make Uttarakhand a drug-free state by 2025. This includes regular monitoring of drug dealers and strict action against those found involved in such activities. He also emphasized the need for regular verification of outsiders renting properties. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami plans to visit various districts soon, where he will conduct public hearings and inspect development projects, as well as review arrangements and cleanliness efforts in municipal bodies and government offices. He has instructed the preparation of a roster for these activities. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, and Vice Chairman of MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari.
