Minister Rekha Arya Takes Oath to Uphold the Constitution with the Youth

Dehradun, November 26, 2024. Today, in a ceremony marking Constitution Day, Uttarakhand’s Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya led a march starting from the Pavilion Ground in Dehradun. The march began at the Pavilion Ground and concluded at the Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Park near the clock tower, where Minister Arya paid her respects by laying a wreath at the statue of Baba Saheb. Following this, Minister Arya administered an oath to the young people present, encouraging them to commit to upholding the Constitution and to contribute to the progress of the nation and the state.

Before the march, Minister Arya addressed the gathering, stating that Constitution Day is a day of pride for all of India. She expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for declaring this significant day in honor of Baba Saheb, recognizing his contributions after the formation of the BJP government. Minister Arya highlighted the struggles faced by Baba Saheb throughout his life, noting that despite the inhumane treatment he witnessed from his birth until he provided the country with a Constitution, he persevered in his education. He used knowledge and learning as his tools to create this foundational document.

She emphasized that the youth should draw inspiration from Baba Saheb’s life, teaching them that with determination and hard work, they can overcome life’s challenges. Minister Arya concluded by stating that to advance India, everyone must commit to upholding the Constitution. Only then can the country progress and develop, maintaining its sovereignty as a unified nation. Present at the event alongside Minister Arya were Sports Secretary Amit Sinha, Director of Youth Welfare Prashant Arya, senior officials from the department, community members, and enthusiastic children.
