Smt. Alka Kachhap, a resident of Badhnijharia, a dependent village of Chathirma, a small Gram Panchayat of Ambikapur development block, is making every possible effort for the future of her children. She is also very smartly aware of the welfare schemes of the government to support her family better. Mrs. Alka is a common housewife, her husband Mr. Samuvel Kachhap works as a mason. She told that the financial condition of the family has always been challenging. It was difficult to manage the household expenses with the income of the husband, so she is working by joining the Bihan Mahila Samuh. This gives additional income. She told that she pays special attention to the care of her children and their education.
Mrs. Alka not only found a source of income by joining the Bihan Samuh, but also deposited the premium of Sukanya Yojana for the secure future of her daughters from the amount received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Mrs. Alka told that she has two daughters, the elder daughter’s name is Vibha and the younger daughter’s name is Vidya. Vibha is studying in class 6th in a private school and the younger daughter is in KG-1. She wants her daughters to study well and fulfill their dreams. Mrs. Alka’s dream is that her daughters complete their studies and choose a good career. Therefore, Alka is preparing from now. Combining her earnings from the Bihan group and the amount received from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, she is depositing Rs. 1,000 each every month in the name of both her daughters under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
