Raipur Smart City, Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation joint team inspected ITMS signals installed at intersections
Raipur. On the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Raipur Smart City Limited Managing Director Abinash Mishra, a team of working agency L&T along with Raipur Smart City, Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation officials went out today to inspect the signals and their timing installed at various intersections under the Integrated Traffic Management System. These traffic signals and cameras are useful in surveillance for crime control as well as organizing urban traffic. The joint team included Raipur Smart City Limited Chief Operating Officer Ujjwal Porwal, DSP Traffic Gurjeet Singh, Municipal Corporation Executive Officer Nitish Jha, ITMS Project Assistant Manager Neha Patel, Deputy Manager Ranjit Ranjan, Assistant Manager Shailendra Patel and working agency L&T Manager Deepak Malviya. This team will now inspect ITMS cameras, signals and other units every week.
The joint team checked the signal timing in areas with traffic pressure and also observed the activities of automatic signals. Today, this team inspected 18 squares and intersections of the city which have heavy traffic pressure. Currently, 470 cameras are working in the city under the ITMS system. The traffic police manages the urban traffic through the signals installed at the intersections from the Integrated City Command Center (ICCC) Jai Stambh Chowk, and the operational mode of the traffic signals is changed on their instructions. Currently, as per the instructions of the traffic police department, 10 out of 50 ITMS signals are working on blinkers mode.
