Former Indian cricketer Salil Ankola’s mother died in Pune on Friday (October 4). Salil’s mother Mala Ankola’s body was found at her residence. Mala was 77 years old. According to initial reports, it appears to be a case of suicide. The deceased woman has a fatal injury on her neck, which is believed to have been self-inflicted. According to reports, a kitchen knife was used and the room’s door was locked from inside.
Salil also shared a picture of his mother on Instagram and confirmed her death. He wrote in the caption, ‘Goodbye Maa.’
