Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in building permanent houses especially for backward tribal families in the Prime Minister’s Tribal Janman Mahabhiyan. A total of 1 lakh 13 thousand 433 Janman houses were approved in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is at the first place in the country by building 22 thousand 619 houses out of these. Odisha is second with 1620 houses, Chhattisgarh is third by building 526 houses and Rajasthan is fourth by building 87 houses. Shivpuri has the highest number of houses built in the state, 4 thousand 443. Umaria is second by building 3 thousand 264 houses and Shahdol is third with 3 thousand 164 houses, Mandla is fourth with 2 thousand 112 houses and Anuppur is fifth with 1 thousand 891 houses. Along with this, Madhya Pradesh has achieved a big achievement by building the country’s first Prime Minister Janman Colony in Shivpuri.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Patel inspected the country’s first PM Janman Colony built in Hatod, Kota and Dabiya Gram Panchayats of Shivpuri District Panchayat. He discussed with the beneficiary families of Sahariya tribe of the new PM Janman Awas and congratulated them on getting a new house. Sisters of Sahariya families tied Rakhi to them. Shri Patel also congratulated and wished the beneficiary families on behalf of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Panchayat Minister said that Shivpuri is the first district in the country to build Janman Awas and Shivpuri is also the first district to make a record of building Janman Colony. He congratulated and wished the team of all the officers for this achievement. He said that within 23 days of the launch of Pradhan Mantri Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan by Prime Minister Shri Modi, the first house was built in Shivpuri and the second house was built in Chhindwara in 29 days. He urged the beneficiary Sahariya families to pay more attention to the education of children along with getting a permanent house. Children have a right to education and childhood. Do not take them away from this right. Let us fight social evils together and abandon them. Never let drug addiction flourish. He said that getting electricity, water, roads and health facilities along with housing is also the biggest facility for Sahariya families.
Mr. Imrat is a resident of Hatoud village, he is living in a new house with his father Kanai and mother Hasmat, his wife and four-year-old daughter Mehak. Mehak goes to Anganwadi. Imrat, who has been living in a hut since childhood, is now very happy to get a permanent house and expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, says that getting a permanent house in this life is a big thing for us.
Thirty-year-old Siya has been living in her new house for a month. Hatoud village is divided into two hamlets. 210 people live in one hamlet and about 220 people live in the other. Siya is an agricultural labourer. She earns Rs. 300 daily by working as a labourer in paddy fields. She has two children Amit and Paramveer. Amit is in class two and Paramveer goes to Anganwadi. The children are the happiest about the new house. She says that the construction of the houses started from January itself. First we got 50 thousand. After this, we got 75 thousand in the second and third time. There is no shortage in the houses. Water, bathroom, light, all facilities are available and they are also clean. We lived in a hut for years. We never thought that we would be able to live in a concrete house. Water used to drip in the raw houses throughout the rainy season. We believe that our life in the future will be very good. She says that if solar lights are installed on the houses, then the cost of electricity will also be saved.
Seema Sahariya is very happy living in the house with her five children. She says that we got rid of the raw house forever. There was always a breakage in the raw house. Half the time was spent in repairing the house. Even while working as a labourer, the worry of the house used to bother us. Now the Prime Minister has removed everyone’s worry. 67-year-old Dhanwanti Adivasi of the same village says that she had never thought that she would have her own permanent house, but due to Prime Minister Shri Modi ji, all our brothers have got permanent houses.
Janman Colony in Gram Panchayat Hatoud has been named Shaheed Tilkha Manjhi Adivasi Colony. 75 people from 18 Sahariya families are living here. Janman Colony in Dabiya Gram Panchayat is named Shri Ram Bihar Colony. 99 people from 28 Sahariya families are living here while Kota Gram Panchayat is the third Janmat Colony of the country. It has been named Johar Colony. 90 people from 18 Sahariya families are living here.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had given the first installment in more than one lakh houses in PM Janman with a single click. Along with the colony, facilities of road, water, electricity, community building, chaupal are also being provided. Focusing on panchayats that build a large number of houses, implementing the action plan to develop them as colonies, Janman Colony is being built in Hatod, Kota, Dabiya, Kankar, Chandanpura, Burda, Bhainsravan and Pichore. All the families living in Janman Colony are also getting the benefits of various government schemes.
Achievements
The first PM Janman Awas in the country was given to Bhagchandra Adivasi of Kalothra Panchayat of Shivpuri Block. The first 500 PM Janman Awas in the country were also completed in Shivpuri Block and now Shivpuri Block has also completed the country’s first PM Janman Colony.
Very attractive and quality houses have been built for Sahariya beneficiaries. Sahariya families are included in the most backward tribes. This initiative has proved to be very meaningful for them. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Janman Awas Yojana in Shivpuri on January 15.
