Meta-owned WhatsApp has released a new feature for users. This allows users to easily find the people and groups that are important to them. This new feature allows users to add contacts and groups as favorites, allowing them to filter chats more quickly.
In addition, the Favorites filter has also been extended to the call tab on WhatsApp, so that users can speed-dial their family or friends. The company said that this new feature will reach all users in the coming weeks.
This new feature of WhatsApp works as an additional chat filter, which hides all conversations except the messages added as favorites. Chat filters were introduced in April this year, allowing users to view all messages, filter unread messages or display only group chats. At the moment, there is no much information about whether the ‘Favorites’ filter will come to the desktop and browser versions of the popular instant messaging platform.
