Central Housing and Urban Affairs Joint Secretary Roopa Mishra Inspects Sakri Plant

Raipur. Roopa Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Government of India, Swachh Bharat Mission, along with Mr. Ankit Jain, Assistant Advisor, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Central Public Health Environmental Engineering Organization, inspected the solid waste management and disposal plant of Raipur Municipal Corporation located in the village of Sakri. They were accompanied by Mr. Abinash Mishra, Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation and Mr. Shashank Pandey, Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh State Urban Development Agency.

During the inspection, the under-construction sanitary landfill site and the operational material recovery facility and plastic granulation unit were reviewed. The Joint Secretary was briefed on the current status of plastic recycling and compost sales. Additionally, future activities, such as the capping of the sanitary landfill, were discussed.

Ms. Roopa Mishra expressed satisfaction with the work carried out since her last inspection the previous year and motivated the entire team to continue their efforts with renewed energy and dedication.
