Collector appeals to common citizens to take necessary precautions to avoid heat wave

Due to increase in temperature in the summer season, there is a possibility of extreme heat and heat stroke among the citizens, which can have an adverse effect on the life and health of the common people. In view of this, Collector Ms. Namrata Gandhi has appealed to the common citizens to take necessary precautions to avoid heat wave. Necessary guidelines have also been issued by the Health Department in this regard.

Symptoms of heat stroke – heaviness and pain in the head, high fever along with dry mouth, dizziness and vomiting, body ache along with weakness, lack of sweating despite high body temperature, excessive thirst and less urination. Symptoms include loss of appetite and fainting etc.

Measures to prevent heat stroke: Do not go out of the house unless it is absolutely necessary. Before going out in the sun, cover your head and ears properly with a cloth. Drink plenty of water. Do not stay in the sun for long. Wear soft cotton clothes during summer so that air and clothes can absorb sweat. In case of excessive sweating o. R. S. Drink the solution.
