Zero electricity bill, increase in income: PM Surya Ghar Yojana becomes a boon for the common people
Raipur, 21 July 2025: Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is proving to be a boon for the common citizens. Rajesh Kesharwani, a resident of Sadar Road in Balodabazar city, has taken advantage of this scheme and installed a 3 kW solar power plant on the roof of his house. Now he does not have to pay electricity bill. Kesharwani told that he got information about this scheme from social media and newspapers, after which he contacted the electricity department and took necessary guidance.
The entire application process is online and simple, which he completed without any difficulty. Kesharwani received a subsidy of 78,000 on solar system installation. For the last six months, this system has been working without any interruption. He told that earlier he had to pay electricity bill of 2000 to 2500 every month, but now his electricity bill has become almost zero. He said that this scheme is very beneficial not only financially but also from the environmental point of view. He appealed to the citizens of the district to take advantage of this scheme and not only save electricity but also make a positive contribution to their monthly income. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Kesharwani said that this scheme is bringing real change in the lives of the common man and the country is moving towards energy self-sufficiency.
