YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia Lands in Trouble – NCW Summons Him Over Controversial Remarks!

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken serious action against YouTuber and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, issuing him a summons over his recent controversial remarks. Along with him, other YouTubers from the show ‘India’s Got Lattent’ have also been booked in connection with the incident.

What Led to the Controversy?

The uproar began when Ranveer Allahbadia made inappropriate and offensive comments on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Lattent. His remarks quickly spread across social media, sparking outrage among users and women’s rights activists. As criticism mounted, the NCW decided to step in and take action against both Ranveer and Samay Raina, as well as other YouTubers involved in the show.

NCW Issues Summons – Calls It a Serious Matter – NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar responded strongly to the controversy, stating that such remarks are unacceptable and have no place in society. In its official statement, the NCW said: “In a society that values equality and mutual respect, comments like these only fuel public anger. They are not only offensive but also undermine human dignity.”

Following this, NCW has summoned Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and other YouTubers for an official hearing on February 17, 2025, at 12 PM in Delhi.

Ranveer Apologizes – But Is It Enough? – After facing massive backlash, Ranveer Allahbadia issued a public apology on social media. He acknowledged his mistake without making any excuses and directly apologized. However, the damage had already been done. The controversy has now triggered a larger debate on the fine line between comedy and offensive content, with many questioning whether content creators should be more mindful of their words.

NHRC Steps In – YouTube Takes Down the Video – The controversy escalated further when the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also got involved, issuing a notice to YouTube, urging them to remove the controversial video. YouTube acted swiftly, taking down the video within 24 hours. However, despite the video’s removal, Ranveer and the others involved continue to face backlash online, with social media users criticizing the lack of accountability in digital content creation.

What Happens Next? – With the NCW hearing scheduled, this issue is far from over. This case could set a new precedent for how influencers and comedians approach sensitive topics in the future. Will this controversy lead to stricter guidelines for content creators? That remains to be seen.
