Losing your Android smartphone can be stressful for anyone. Not only because of the cost of replacing the device but also because of the risk of losing personal data, login credentials and other sensitive information on it. If the data falls into the wrong hands, the situation can become even more worrying. The good thing is that most Android devices have an inbuilt feature called Find My Device. It allows you to remotely find, lock or erase data of your lost or missing phone. Here we are going to tell you how you can use it.
Visit Find My Device or download the Find My Device app from the Play Store on another device.
Log in: Then use the Google account linked to your lost phone to log in.
Locate the device: The website or app will show your device’s last location, connectivity status and battery life. Click on the location pin to get directions to your phone’s current location.
