
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that yoga removes the diseases of the body and makes it free from disorders. Everyone should do yoga daily for a healthy body. On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ancient yoga system has now got international recognition and that is why International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June not only in India but all over the world. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing the preparations for the 11th International Yoga Day to be organized on 21st June at Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that International Yoga Day should be celebrated with full joy and enthusiasm. In view of the possibility of rain on this day as per the weather department forecast, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the officials to select such a place for the state level mass yoga practice program, which is covered from above (with shade) and maximum participants can participate in it. He said that everyone should participate in yoga practice, not only children, youth, elderly, women, everyone should be involved. Proper and well-planned preparations should be made for the yoga practice program. Water should not stagnate at the yoga practice venue; easy access to the program venue and proper parking arrangements should also be made. He said that yoga practice programs should, as far as possible, be organized in covered campuses of schools, colleges, medical colleges or other such educational institutions.

Principal Secretary AYUSH D.P. Ahuja informed that this year the theme of International Yoga Day has been decided by the Central Government as “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. He informed that on International Yoga Day on 21st June, from 6.00 to 6.20 am, there will be local programs and speeches by public representatives. From 6.20 to 6.30 am, the speech of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will be broadcast live from Bhopal. From 6.30 to 7.00 am, the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be broadcast live from Visakhapatnam. From 7.00 to 7.45 am, group yoga practice of general yoga protocol will be done by all the participants. State level program will be done under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
Principal Secretary Ayush Ahuja informed that district level programs will be done in district headquarters under the chief hospitality of ministers, ministers in-charge, MPs and MLAs. To ensure participation of all Government employees in Yoga practice, it is proposed to organize Yoga practice programmes in the subordinate institutions of Government departments as well as in schools. Yoga practice programmes will be conducted in the village level programme under the chief hospitality of local public representative. The main programme will be telecast live to the villages by Doordarshan. Prime Minister Modi’s message will be distributed in all Gram Panchayats. Yoga practice will also be organized by the village water and sanitation committees of the Gram Panchayats. Yoga practice programs will also be held in the Anganwadis of the state under Women and Child Development and in the schools run by the Tribal Affairs Department. Principal Secretary Ayush informed that the Central Government has proposed to organize mass yoga practice programs in 10 major tourist places of Madhya Pradesh namely Amarkantak (in the temple group), Bhimbetka (in front of the caves parking area), Bhopal (in Kamlapati Palace), Gwalior (near Mansingh Palace), Khajuraho (in the Western Temple Group), Orchha, Sanchi (near Stupa number one, in the light and sound show area), Mandu (in front of Jahaz Mahal) and Maheshwar. Principal Secretary Ayush Ahuja informed that as per the instructions of the Central Government, the main program of June 21 will be celebrated as Yoga Sangam. Mass yoga practice programs will be organized here by upgrading public gardens as Yoga Parks. Under Yoga inclusion, special yoga programs will be organized for Divyangjan, senior citizens, children. Under Green Yoga, yoga sessions will be organized at prestigious natural sites and programs for plantation and cleanliness drive will also be conducted.
