World news : Maryam Nawaz becomes the first woman Chief Minister of Pakistan

I want to say today that I do not want to take revenge, nor do I have hatred for anyone.

According to reports, Maryam won by a massive 220 votes against her rival Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC). In her one-and-a-half hour long victory speech, Maryam said she was upset with the opposition’s boycott. During this time he was holding the photo of his late mother Kulsoom. He said, I wish the opposition leaders were a part of the political and democratic process today. Maryam said, if the opposition had been present today and they had protested during my speech, I would have been happy.
