Women of Gomti Mahila Self Help Group are working to become self-reliant under the government’s scheme

Raipur –  On the progress of becoming self-reliant on the initiative of Municipal Corporation in the community building by preparing Chhattisgarhi dishes, home decor items, sewing work, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has honored them for the best work.

15 women in Gomti Mahila Group including President Ms. Saraswati Jha, Secretary Ms. Kanchan Dwivedi through NULM in Municipal Corporation Raipur, are preparing Chhattisgarhi dishes, doing sewing work, preparing useful home decor items and manufacturing sanitary items on the initiative of Municipal Corporation Raipur under the state government’s scheme to become self-reliant and self-sufficient in the society, for the last 2 years continuously and regularly in the hall provided in the corporation community building in Ashwani Nagar of Pandit Sundar Lal Sharma Ward of Municipal Corporation Zone 5. As per the orders of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra, Additional Commissioner Mr. US Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Rajeshwari Patel, under the guidance of NULM City Mission Manager Mrs. Sarita Sinha and Ms. Seema Chaturvedani, 15 women of Gomti Mahila Self Help Group are working for economic self-reliance and self-sufficiency in the society under the government’s scheme.
The Chief Minister of the state Mr. Vishnudev Sai has praised the excellent work of the women of Gomti Mahila Self Help Group and has honored the women of the group. The women of the group are working to become economically self-reliant by preparing herbal gulaal as per the demand of the seasonal market and purchasing it at cheap rates. In the hall of the Municipal Corporation Community Building in Ashwani Nagar, the women of Gomti Mahila Self Help Group are engaged in the work of fixing materials like handwash, detergent bar, phenyl etc. The work of preparing Jhalaar, Jhumar and other useful materials for home decoration is being done by the women and they are being sold at cheap rates. Under the NULM scheme, the women of the group are available for purchase of the prepared products from 1 PM to 5 PM on all working days.
Any citizen can go there from 1 PM to 5 PM on working days and purchase the products prepared by the women of the group at cheap rates. Through this, the women of the group can easily get help through public participation in becoming economically self-reliant and self-sufficient. Under the Local for Vocal policy, Municipal Corporation Zone 5 and NULM have made a humble appeal to all the citizens to participate in making the women self-reliant.
