Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan will be held in Bhopal on 31st May under the chief hospitality of Prime Minister Shri Modi

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the life of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar was dedicated to society, culture and nation. Her personality and work are the priceless treasure of India. A cabinet meeting has been organized in Indore to express gratitude towards the works of Lokmata for good governance as well as justice, education, social welfare, religious welfare, water conservation and promotion etc. and to take inspiration from her life. Malwa has a glorious and golden history. There is a need to underline it. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid homage to the land of Malwa while remembering the historical personalities of Malwa like Malhar Rao Holkar, Lokmata Ahilya Bai Holkar, Bajirao etc.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the members before the cabinet meeting in the Durbar Hall of Rajwada, Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that taking inspiration from the motto of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi “From Heritage to Development”, the concept of development is being given a concrete form by preserving and promoting heritage. The first cabinet meeting was held in Jabalpur in the memory of tribal hero Rani Durgavati. Today, the cabinet meeting is being held dedicated to Lokmata Ahilyabai. He said that on 3 June, a cabinet meeting will be organized in Panchmarhi in the memory of tribal king Shri Bhabhut Singh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in the country in the field of agriculture. The state government is committed to the welfare of farmers along with promoting agriculture and agricultural products. Realizing the concept of farm produce to factory and factory to industry, an agriculture-industry conference is being organized in Narsinghpur from 26 to 28 May under the chief hospitality of Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. The MP government is making every effort to provide the latest technology to farmers, promote food processing industries and ensure that farmers get the right price for their produce.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a women empowerment mega conference will be organized in Bhopal on May 31 under the chief hospitality of Prime Minister Shri Modi. On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a women empowerment mega conference of women entrepreneurs, workers, women self-help groups, Ladli sisters will be organized in Jamboori Maidan, Bhopal in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. More than 2 lakh women from the state will participate in it. In the mega conference, Prime Minister Shri Modi will also inaugurate the Indore Metro and virtually inaugurate Satna and Datia airports.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that on the occasion of 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, many grand programs will be organized at various places in the state from 20 May to 31 May 2025. During this period, cultural and literary events will be held in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Kalidas Sanskrit Academy Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and other places. On May 22, the great drama “Ahilya Kathan Sannadati” centered on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar will be staged at Kalidas Sanskrit Academy Ujjain. On May 23, a women’s kavi sammelan centered on Devi Ahilya will be organized in village Mahidpur, Ujjain. The great drama “Ahilya Kathan Sannadati” will be staged in Gwalior on May 24, in Narmadapuram on May 26, in Bhopal on May 27 and in Betul on May 28.
In Indore, on May 28, there will be solo poetry recitals and cultural activities centered on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, while on May 29, the Devi Ahilya-centered mega-drama “Shivyogini Ahilya” will be staged at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium, Indore. On the last day, May 31, the state-wide event will conclude with garlanding the statue of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar at the Rajwada Complex, Indore and a women’s empowerment program dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. This event is an effort to remember the contributions of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar and honor her legacy.
The Council of Ministers thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi for implementing the Rahveer Yojana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has not only started “108 Ambulance, Air Ambulance” for every person injured in an accident, but the “Rahveer Yojana” has also been started by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. This scheme has also been implemented in the state, the District Collector has been ordered to implement it. There is a provision in the scheme that if a citizen takes an injured person in a road accident to the hospital for treatment in his golden hour (initial 1 hour), and his life is saved, in that case he will be given a reward of 25 thousand rupees, which was 5 thousand rupees earlier. Also, if a citizen takes the injured person directly to the hospital, in that case the hospital will inform the police. The concerned person will also be given a copy of this letter, and the police will also write a letter in this regard to the Collector. The amount will be transferred directly to the person’s account by the Transport Department.
The members of the Council of Ministers thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for purchasing about 78 lakh metric tons of wheat from 9 lakh farmers of the state this year. This is about 30 lakh metric tons more (about 62% more) than last year. About 20 thousand crore rupees have been paid to farmers for wheat purchase this year. Out of the 9 lakh farmers from whom wheat has been purchased, 1 lakh 25 thousand are women farmers.
Along with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, all the members of the Council of Ministers attended the meeting of the Council of Ministers wearing traditional dhoti. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat and Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava welcomed the members of the Council of Ministers by draping them with Angavastram and presenting them with a memento as a mark of respect.
Former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan gave a presentation to the members of the Council of Ministers regarding the construction of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Memorial. The memorial will be constructed on 3 acres of land in Lalbagh Palace at a cost of approximately Rs 100 crore. The memorial will highlight the life character, ideals, values and contributions of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar.
