Women and Child Development Minister reviewed departmental work
Raipur. Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Lakshmi Rajwade reviewed in detail the work of the Women and Child Development Department at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today. Departmental officers gave information about departmental programs and schemes through power point presentation. Department Secretary Shammi Abidi and other departmental officers were also present in the meeting. Minister Rajwade has given necessary instructions to the officials for effective implementation of the schemes. The officials gave a computer based presentation of the schemes run by the Government of India and State Governments. Officials gave detailed information about the services provided to women and children in Anganwadi centres, various programs and schemes run including the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign. The Women and Child Development Minister has given instructions to run a special campaign to eliminate malnutrition among children in various areas of the state, especially in the most backward tribal areas and remote areas.
He has told the officials that departmental schemes should be implemented expeditiously. So that the beneficiaries get the benefits of the schemes. In the meeting, malnutrition and anemia in children and causes of anemia in women and ways to remove it were discussed in detail. Minister Mrs. Rajwade took information from the officials regarding the facilities available in Anganwadi centers and the facilities provided to Anganwadi workers and assistants.
In the meeting, Chhattisgarh Mahila Fund of the State Government including Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, Palana, State Women Empowerment, Sambal Yojana, Sakhi One Staff Centre, Women Helpline, PM Janman, Nari Adalat and Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao of the Government of India – loan and Reviewed in detail other departmental schemes including Saksham Yojana, Chief Minister Child Reference Scheme, Supplementary Nutrition Programme.
