First phase: Massive crowd gathered for voting- The first phase of three-tier panchayat elections was concluded in Uttarakhand today. Long queues were seen at polling stations in all districts except Haridwar since morning. Despite rain and bad weather, the enthusiasm of the villagers was worth seeing. They believe that every vote of theirs is very important for the development of their village. People voted in large numbers to improve the future of their village.
Chief Minister’s call: Every vote is the basis of the future of the state-Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami appealed to the people through social media to vote in large numbers. He said that this election is not just an opportunity to elect a representative, but also a golden opportunity to strengthen the foundation of rural development. He emphasized that every vote plays an important role in shaping the future of the state.
Fate of thousands of candidates locked in EVMs-In this first phase, the fate of 17829 candidates has been locked in EVMs. 2247 candidates were in the fray for 948 posts of Gram Panchayat, 9731 for 3393 posts of Pradhan and 871 for 201 posts of Zilla Panchayat. Nearly 26 lakh voters exercised their franchise, making the election atmosphere quite exciting.
