Will India move forward with the strategy of playing with three fast bowlers?

After the successful Test and T20 series against Bangladesh, the Indian team is now ready to face New Zealand. This match will be played between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Wednesday. India will then tour Australia at the end of November where it has to participate in the five-match Border-Gavaskar Test series. Before the tough challenge on Australian soil, the Indian team management would like to test its bench strength.

India had given a chance to three fast bowlers and two spinners in the two Test matches against Bangladesh. The pitch of both the Test matches against Bangladesh was not only helpful for spinners and there was a lot for fast bowlers in it. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether the Indian team management and captain Rohit Sharma will move forward with this formula or there will be any change in the team. The weather is also not clear in Bengaluru, due to which the start of the game may be late.

India can go with three fast bowlers
The pitch of M Chinnaswamy Stadium is helpful for spinners and in such a situation Indian spinners can wreak havoc. Apart from these, Jasprit Bumrah is also in form, who took 11 wickets in two Tests against Bangladesh. The Indian team management will have to think a lot before deciding on the fifth bowler. If the combination is kept like the last series, Akash Deep can support Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj as the third fast bowler. The star spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja impressed with the bat as well as the ball against Bangladesh and they will be the first choice. However, India can also field left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav or left-arm spinner Akshar Patel, who are also useful batsmen in the lower order. According to media reports, Shubman Gill has complained of neck pain. If Gill is not able to get fit before the match, the team management can give a chance to either Akshar or Kuldeep.
