Jhulan Goswami, known for her speed and ability to make even the best batters struggle, is one of those Indian cricketers who has always been completely focused on the game. Jhulan, now 42, dedicated her entire life to cricket and never even got married. She has her own reasons for not getting married, and while she is now retired, she remains single. Once, when asked about marriage, she gave a great response. She said she was completely focused on her game and wouldn’t be able to give a relationship the time it deserves. She even mentioned that she didn’t have time for romance. Goswami explained that she doesn’t think a relationship and a demanding career can go hand in hand. She sees her friends struggling to balance both and prefers to focus on one thing at a time.
While she was still playing, she mentioned that she enjoys listening to music and watching Bengali movies in her free time. Interestingly, Mithali Raj, who also played for the Indian team for a long time, never got married either. She also has her own reasons. She jokingly said that the person she likes is already married. Jhulan Goswami has represented India in all three formats of the game. She played 12 Test matches, taking 44 wickets. She played 204 Women’s ODIs, taking 255 wickets. In T20s, she played 68 matches, taking 56 wickets.
