Who will get a chance, Kuldeep or Axar, India-Bangladesh’s possible-11 for the first Test
The Test series between India and Bangladesh is starting from tomorrow. The first Test match will be played in Chennai. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant from India can return to the Test format after about a year 8 months and 25 days. He played his last Test against Bangladesh on 25 December 2022.
The big question is whether Team India will give a chance to 3 spinners or 3 pacers. If there are 3 spinners, then one of Kuldeep Yadav or Axar Patel may have to sit on the bench.
Senior players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant have returned to the Test team. It is also confirmed that all three will play in Chennai. Apart from these, Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are sure to be in the top-3 positions.
Sarfaraz Khan, who scored 3 fifties against England, did nothing wrong to be left out of the team. KL Rahul could not play the last series due to injury, so he is seen making a comeback in the playing-11 in place of Sarfaraz. In the press conference before the match, captain Rohit Sharma has also said that Rahul will get a chance.
Ashwin-Jadeja will be the 2 all-rounders
After the top-6 batsmen, Team India will give a chance to 2 senior spin bowling all-rounders in the form of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. If the team keeps 3 bowlers in the spin department, then only one of Kuldeep Yadav or Akshar Patel will get a chance. Looking at Bangladesh, Team India will focus on strengthening its bowling. In such a situation, Kuldeep Yadav can be given priority.
