Whatever the crime, police should ensure prompt action: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that whatever the crime may be, strict steps should be taken to control them. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in many aspects in crime control works and innovations. Efforts should be made to improve this situation as well. Mistrust in Naxal-affected areas has to be completely eradicated. Development of all sections and welfare of all has to be ensured. Public trust should be strengthened by giving full priority to development and security. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was discussing the law and order situation of the state with senior officials in a high-level meeting held at Samatva Bhavan in the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday evening. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also obtained information from senior administrative and police officials of the Naxal-affected area through video conference and gave necessary instructions. Police presence should be from the road to the heart of the public. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that strict action should be taken against those who perform stunts on major routes in cities, those who brandish weapons, those who are cruel to cows or those involved in crimes related to drugs. It was informed in the meeting that under the anti-Naxal campaign in the state, where effective action has been taken against Naxalite elements, priority is also being given to completing road construction and other development works. On June 14, 4 Maoists were killed in an encounter in Balaghat district. Many weapons were also seized from them. Recently, on July 19, computer tablets, binoculars and other material were seized in an encounter with Maoists in the border forest area of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra in Lanji area of Balaghat.
Collectors and Jabalpur Commissioner explained the efforts of the administration. It was told in the meeting that for the welfare of the people in Naxal-affected areas, Balaghat district and police administration have done many new works with the aim of saturation in public welfare schemes. Public service camps have been organized every week in Naxal-affected villages, distribution of 344 traditional musical instruments and costumes to tribal dance groups has been done. Along with this, works like distribution of forest rights certificates in tribal villages, providing benefits of various schemes through Ekal Suvidha Kendra and distribution of millets have been done. Balaghat Collector informed that payment of honorarium to tendu leaf collectors is also being ensured. Mandla Collector informed that focus is being laid on the health sector. Camps have been set up for identification of sickle cell anemia. The target is to double the production of Kodo Kutki. Dindori Collector informed that action is being taken by examining the applications received under the Forest Rights Act. Jabalpur Commissioner informed that efforts are being made for better implementation of the schemes of Health, Women and Child Development and Food Department in the Naxal-affected districts of the division. Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana and senior officers were present in the meeting.

There should be better implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes in Naxal-affected areas. Efforts should be made to achieve 100 percent target in various schemes.
Works like installing mobile towers in Naxal-affected areas should be completed quickly. With the help of this technology, better results will be achieved in the anti-Naxal campaign.
Necessary action related to forest rights certificate should be completed in needy areas.
