However, now Spotify is going to enter the sector of video music streaming. This will be a video music streaming platform, where music will be available in video format.

YouTube’s troubles will increase
At present, YouTube is most used for video music. Music videos of popular Bollywood and Hollywood movies are streamed live directly from YouTube. YouTube channels like T-Series and Zee Music are most popular in India. T-Series is the most popular music video YouTube channel not only in India but in the entire world. It has about 261 million subscribers as of March 2024. If you look at the top 5 YouTube channels, it includes two Hindi YouTube channels T-Series and Sony. Both are music and entertainment YouTube channels. This makes it clear that India is the largest country in the world, where music videos are watched the most. This is the reason why Spotify wants to move from audio streaming to video music streaming.

YouTube will get direct competition
YouTube is expected to compete directly after Spotify’s entry into the video streaming market. Also, Spotify can take away a big business from YouTube. Because Bollywood songs will be streamed on Spotify apart from YouTube. Spotify has started beta testing. It is being tested in countries like Germany, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Colombia, Philippines, Indonesia and Kenya.
