Weather took a turn in Uttarakhand: Scorching heat in the plains, drops of relief in the mountains

The heat is in full swing in the plains of Uttarakhand at this time. The temperature is continuously rising in cities like Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in these areas today will be between 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature will also remain around 24 degrees.Although there will be light clouds in the sky, there is no special hope of relief from humidity and scorching sun. Hot winds can blow during the day in Dehradun, due to which it may be difficult to go out in the afternoon. This period of heat may continue for a few more days as there is still some time left for the formal entry of monsoon. Till then, people will have to deal with the heat most of the day except for a little relief in the morning and evening.
The mood of the weather in the mountains has changed a bit, rain has become the reason for relief
While the plains are scorching, the weather in the mountains is somewhat relieving. Light rain and drizzle continues in hill stations like Nainital, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. The temperature here remains between 20 to 28 degrees Celsius, due to which the weather remains pleasant. There is a feeling of mild coolness in the morning and evening, while during the day the rays of the sun are seen peeping through the hills with light clouds. Both local people and tourists are enjoying this weather. Raindrops are succeeding in reducing the heat of summer to some extent.
Although sometimes minor landslides can occur due to rain, but there is no warning of any major danger yet. Monsoon is not far away: Heavy rains will reach Uttarakhand between 15-20 JuneAccording to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this year the monsoon is arriving on time. On May 27, the monsoon knocked in Kerala, and usually it reaches North India in 15 to 20 days.According to this, the entry of monsoon in Uttarakhand is considered certain between 15 and 20 June. The special thing this time is that the department has estimated that the monsoon will bring 10-20% more rain than normal.Pre-monsoon rains have already knocked in areas like Haridwar and Dehradun, where almost twice the normal rainfall has been recorded in the last 10 days.
People are being advised to start preparing for the monsoon from now onwards – repair the roof, make arrangements for drainage and stock up on essential items in time. How will the weather be for the pilgrims going on the Char Dham Yatra.
