The stock market had a weak start on the second trading day of the week. Despite the pre-opening gains, Sensex and Nifty were seen trading in the red in early trade. Buying returned from lower levels in the market and the benchmark indices managed to return to the green mark, but after that selling again dominated.
In early trade, IRB Infra shares fell by eight percent while Indigo shares fell by three percent. Earlier on Monday, Sensex and Nifty closed in the red after three days of gains due to selling pressure in IT sector shares and HDFC Bank shares.
