
bhopal: Along with strengthening the poor, farmers, youth and women, the Madhya Pradesh government is running the campaign being run across the country in the direction of nature, environment and water conservation by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as a mission. Water revolution is taking place in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Under this revolution, Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan is being run for water conservation and promotion. Under the campaign, more farm ponds, Amrit Sarovar, Dugwell recharges are being made in the state than the target set. These works will increase the irrigated area in the state, along with improvement in groundwater level and also promote rural livelihood.
Preparations were started by MNREGA Council in the month of January-February itself, action plan was made using Planner software In order to ensure that rainwater can be harvested on a large scale, the MNREGA council started preparations in January itself, three months before the start of the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. For this, the council prepared planner software in which the plan could be finalized at the Gram Panchayat level with minimum entries. New works to be taken up under the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan were included in this plan. Apart from this, those works were also added to the action plan to complete the works in progress of the previous year. The main objective of the planner software was to make the action plan in an easy way while following the objectives and provisions of MNREGA. The council prepared the annual action plan of the works to be done at the Gram Panchayat level through software. The special thing was that Madhya Pradesh is also the first state in the country to do such innovation.
Site selection was done using SIPRI software SIPRI software was developed by MNREGA Council so that rainwater can be stored with the help of technology and also to facilitate the selection of sites for the construction of new water structures. This software (Software for Identification and Planning of Rural Infrastructure) is an advanced technology software, which has been prepared by Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, Madhya Pradesh State Employment Guarantee Council, Bhopal in collaboration with MPSEDC and ISRO. The main objective of this software is to ensure the construction of quality structures by accurately identifying suitable sites for water conservation. Apart from this, it makes the selection of water structure sites more accurate with scientific methods based on Geographic Information System (GIS). Through the software, sites were selected for the construction of a large number of new water structures in the state like farm ponds, Amrit Sarovar and dugwell recharge. A team of officials from Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra has also come to see such experiments done in the state.
Dashboard created for transparency and regular monitoring To maintain transparency of the works done under the MNREGA scheme in Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan, and to monitor it regularly, the council has created a dashboard of Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. Through the dashboard, the works being done in each district and their amount can be easily seen at https://dashboard.nregsmp.org/report_jsm . Along with this, the works are being continuously monitored. Weekly progress report is also being made available to the collector. More than 1 lakh 27 thousand people are regularly viewing the dashboard created for Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan was started from 30th March Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan was started from March 30 to conserve rainwater in the state and give new life to old water sources. It will conclude on June 30 in Khandwa. This 90-day long campaign was started by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav from Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal.
82 thousand 310 farm ponds, 1 thousand 283 Amrit Sarovar, recharge pits are being made in 1 lakh 3 thousand wells In the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan in the state, a target was set to build 77 thousand 940 farm ponds, 1 lakh 3 thousand 900 Dugwell recharge and 992 Amrit Sarovars. It has been completed on time. As of June 21, work is going on to build 82 thousand 310 farm ponds, 1 thousand 283 Amrit Sarovars and recharge pits (Dugwell recharge method) in 1 lakh 3 thousand wells in the state. Apart from this, 19 thousand 949 old works have also been completed. Whereas, one week is left for the completion of Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan. All these works are being done under the MNREGA scheme, in which Rs 2334 crore is being spent. More than 2 lakh 30 thousand Jaldoots have registered To make more and more people aware of water conservation in the state, the state government set a target of creating 1 lakh 62 thousand 400 Jaldoots. This target has also been exceeded. So far, more than 2 lakh 30 thousand Jaldoots have registered in the state.
For the first time, AI, SIPRI and Planner software have been used For the first time in the state, technology like SIPRI software, AI and planner software has been used in making farm ponds, Amrit Sarovar and dugwell recharge, which has made it easy to achieve the set target on time. Along with this, special attention was also paid to quality. Now this technology is developing as a model for other states of the country. To provide regular information to senior officials about the progress of the campaign, the dashboard data is being analysed through AI and is being made available directly to the concerned officials on WhatsApp. The AI report shows the progress of the district by comparing the characteristics of the district with the progress of other districts along with the campaign’s target. So that the progress of the campaign can be improved.
