Uttarakhand Fires 158 Absent Doctors, New Hiring Coming Soon
The Uttarakhand government has terminated the services of 158 doctors in the health department who have been absent for a long time, just before the New Year. Following this action, the government plans to quickly recruit new doctors for the vacant positions through the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat announced that the services of these doctors were ended due to their prolonged absence, which was negatively impacting health services in the state. – Tehri and Chamoli**: 13 doctors each
– Pauri: 10 doctors
– Rudraprayag: 7 doctors
– Haridwar: 6 doctors
– Pithoragarh: 5 doctors
