Use all your energy and enthusiasm to defeat TB and make the country win: Governor Patel

bhopal: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that to defeat TB and make the country win, we have to work with full enthusiasm and strength. He has appealed to the citizens to contribute in the TB eradication campaign. He has said that a contribution of five hundred, thousand rupees in the Nishchay Mitra schemes can save someone’s life. Cooperate in the TB Seal Campaign with the aim of saving the lives of the public. Governor  Patel was addressing the 75th TB Seal Release Program organized at Kshay Bhavan today. On this occasion, the 75th TB Seal was released. Symbolically, food baskets were provided to 5 TB patients. TB Champion and two Nishchay Mitras were honored. The Governor was felicitated by presenting a shawl and a memento in the program. Chairman of Human Rights Commission  Manohar Mamtani was also present in the release program.

Governor Patel said that TB is the first priority of the country. Spreading information about TB is the primary need for disease elimination. He stressed on efforts to spread awareness about TB in remote areas and deprived areas. He said that dialogue should be established at the community level. Every household should be made aware of the symptoms of the disease. It should be told that hiding the disease will be fatal. Even the most serious TB patient can be cured with early diagnosis of the disease, regular intake of medicines and a nutritious diet rich in vitamins. He said that along with TB patients, it is necessary to inform the family members and attendants about disease prevention. He said that along with disease treatment, there is a need to focus on disease prevention as well. Referring to Prime Minister  Narendra Modi, he said that Ujjwala Gas Scheme is an initiative to eliminate TB disease based on the experiences of  Modi’s visit to tribal areas. He said that the smoke coming out of the kitchen stove for one meal is as fatal as the smoke of 60 cigarettes. To save mothers and sisters from this smoke, Prime Minister  Modi had conceived the Ujjwala Yojana.

In the program, Chairman, Municipal Corporation Bhopal Kishan Suryavanshi assured to get the paving work of TB hospital done from the Chairman’s fund. He also talked about getting a grant of Rs 1 lakh to the association. He said that before Prime Minister  Modi, education and health were subjects of talks. The Central Government has made it the work of the government by making Ayushman Card. Today, the government is giving Ayushman Card to all the elderly above the age of 70 years to keep the senior citizens of the society physically and mentally healthy and happy.

President of TB Association Jaipal Sachdev said that the association is a unit of the national organization. The organization works to create public awareness about the symptoms, treatment services and facilities of TB among school children and citizens through doctors. Honorary Secretary of the Association Dr. Manoj Verma presented the progress report of the organization. He said that the organization is completely run with public cooperation. The organization has not received any kind of grant from the government. Honorary treasurer of the association Dr. Abhijeet Deshmukh expressed his gratitude to all the guests present. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for his sensitivity and foresight.
