Urban bodies should ensure cleaning of water tanks and drains: Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh

Raipur. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh held a time-bound meeting in the Red Cross hall and reviewed various works. The collector said that the CMOs of all urban bodies should ensure that their water tanks have been cleaned so that citizens get clean drinking water. No epidemic or disease spreads in the rain. Along with this, provide a certificate of tank cleaning work. He said that all drains should be cleaned soon so that there is no waterlogging.
Dr. Singh said that in case of storm, the Municipal Corporation, District Panchayat, Electricity Department and other officials should immediately go to the field and keep an eye on the situation and solve any problem if it arises. This will provide relief to the citizens in time. The collector said that the NGT had given instructions to close all sand mines by June 15. Even after this, if sand excavation is found, the Mineral Department and other related revenue officers should take immediate action. The Excise Department should take immediate action on the complaint of over-rate. Make preparations for plantation and other departments including school education should provide information immediately. The collector said that keep an eye on the stock of fertilizers and seeds and do not let it fall short. Also, the health department should ensure the availability of medicines keeping in mind the rain.
