Raipur, 9 February 2025: Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, in his statement in Parliament, said that the rate of decline in maternal mortality rate, infant mortality rate and under-five mortality rate in India has been more than double the global decline rate. He said that this success is the result of the effective implementation of schemes run by the Health Department. Union Health Minister Nadda, especially mentioning the tribal-dominated areas of Chhattisgarh, said that unprecedented improvement has been recorded in health indicators in Bijapur, Konta, Narayanpur, Bastar and Dantewada. This improvement has been possible due to the effective implementation of maternal and child health improvement programs in these areas. He said that the multi-dimensional strategies adopted by the Ministry of Health have accelerated this improvement and the quality of health services will be continuously improved to make these efforts permanent.
New change in Chhattisgarh with the cooperation of the Center and the State Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, calling this achievement a proof of the cooperation of the Center and the State Government, said that this change has been possible as a result of the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective strategies of Union Health Minister Nadda. He said that the Chhattisgarh Government has ensured that quality health services reach even the most remote areas of the state. Chief Minister Sai said that there has been a significant improvement in the care of mothers and infants in tribal dominated areas. He said that the government has not only improved health services, but has also taken concrete steps to strengthen and make health facilities accessible in tribal areas. Chief Minister Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and said that Chhattisgarh has received incomparable cooperation from the Central Government in the field of health facilities. He said that our government is fully committed to providing excellent health services to every citizen of the state. Chief Minister Sai said that the Chhattisgarh Government is determined to continuously improve the quality of health services. He said that to ensure access to health services in remote areas, special attention is being paid to setting up new health centres, availability of modern equipment and appointment of health workers.
