Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had a direct conversation with the beneficiaries

Fishermen’s committee and farmers were appreciated

Raipur, May 13, 2025: Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who attended the program organized in Ambikapur today as the chief guest under the “More Housing More Rights” program, observed the beneficiary-oriented exhibitions and interacted directly with the beneficiaries.

During this, he interacted with Kripa Shankar Singh, a member of the Adivasi Fishermen’s Committee, Baddamali, and obtained information related to their income and facilities. Kripa Shankar told the minister that there are a total of 45 members in the committee and everyone gets a profit of 50 thousand to 60 thousand rupees in a year. He also told that he got the fishing net under the subsidy for only Rs 10 thousand. Union Minister Chouhan also interacted with farmer Brij Kumar at the exhibition of the Agriculture Department. Brij Kumar told that he got an agricultural pump worth Rs 23 thousand for just Rs 15 thousand, which gave him a direct saving of Rs 8 thousand. Both Kripa Shankar and Brij Kumar expressed happiness and said that for the first time they got a chance to talk face-to-face with a Union Minister, which was a proud moment for them. They said that the schemes run by the central and state government are reaching the grassroots level and bringing positive changes in the lives of the people.
