Union Minister Mr. Shah praised the e-summons system implemented in M.P.
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Friday attended a review meeting on the implementation of three new criminal laws in Madhya Pradesh at the office of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi. The implementation and current status of provisions related to police, jail, court, prosecution and forensics were reviewed in the meeting.
Union Minister Mr. Shah provided necessary instructions regarding the implementation of three new criminal laws in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the e-summons system. Union Minister Mr. Shah praised the state for this new system and advised other states to follow it.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that training programmes are being organised on a large scale for the effective implementation of the three new criminal laws in the state. The target is to complete the recruitment and training of forensic science experts in the police force in a phased manner in the next two years.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that under the new legal provisions in the state, cases are being resolved quickly on the basis of electronic evidence using modern resources. This has made the judicial process easier, saving police time and reducing the inconvenience of doctors. On one hand, while the inconvenience of the police force in bringing and taking prisoners from jail is being reduced, on the other hand, the public is getting justice in less time. Union Home Minister Mr. Shah was told that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will review the progress of implementation of new laws every month and the Chief Secretary will review it every 15 days.
Senior officers of the State and Union Home Ministries, including Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain and Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, were present in the meeting.
