Raipur 16 December 2024: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, as part of his mission to curb Naxal activities, today reached among the security forces personnel deployed in Gundam, a remote and Maoist-affected area of ​​​​Bijapur. He interacted with the security forces personnel including CRPF, Cobra, DRG and encouraged them at the camp of Central Reserve Force 153rd Corps Battalion. Union Home Minister Shri Shah directly inquired about the ground situation of the Naxal operation from the soldiers deployed on the Naxal front. He also had lunch with the soldiers. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja were also present on this occasion. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah said that in the last one year, new security camps have been established to make Bastar Naxal-free, the positive result of which has been that our soldiers got continuous success in Naxal operations. A large number of Naxalites were killed, Naxalites surrendered and were arrested. The day is not far when Bastar and our country will be completely free from Naxal influence. Making India Naxal-free by March 2026 is our biggest priority. He said that all the security forces including CRPF, BSF, Cobra, Chhattisgarh Police, Bastariya Battalion have made an important contribution in the Naxal-free campaign.

Shri Amit Shah said in his address that today Naxalism has reached the verge of ending. He said that in the villages falling under the security camp, the security force officers must see how well the government schemes are being implemented at the ground level, whether the people are getting their rights or not. If the villagers continue to get the benefits of the government schemes in a proper manner, then they will cooperate with the government and administration with dedication and move towards development. Inaugurated the Government Fair Price Shop of Gundam
During his Gundam visit to Bijapur, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah planted a Banyan tree in the camp premises and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai planted a Sulphi tree. On this occasion, he inaugurated a new Government Fair Price Shop in front of the camp premises. Senior officials of CRPF, Police and District Administration were present on this occasion.
