Raipur 17 December: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on the situation of Left Wing Extremism in the state in Raipur, Chhattisgarh today. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja and Director Generals of Central Armed Police Forces were present in the meeting. During the review meeting, the Union Home Minister asked all forces and agencies to make joint efforts towards achieving the goal of completely eliminating Left Wing Extremism by March 2026.
In his concluding address after the meeting, the Union Home and Cooperation Minister said that Chhattisgarh Police and other security forces have worked very well and in a coordinated manner in the fight against Naxalism. He said that due to our security forces, the Naxalites have suffered the most damage in the last one year, which is a huge success. Shah said that we still have a lot of work to do to eliminate Naxalism before March 2026 and NIA will play a very important role in this.
