Ujjain lab of West Zone Electricity Company gets national level certification
Bhopal. The testing lab established in Ujjain by Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company has received the National Accreditation Board for Testing Calibration Laboratories (NABL) certificate. With the aim of self-reliant India, now having such NABL laboratory at the local level for testing the electrical material required by the company will save time and cost spent in sending the material elsewhere. Company’s Managing Director Ms. Rajni Singh and Chief General Manager Mr. Prakash Singh Chauhan have congratulated the Ujjain lab on getting the national level certificate for the next four years. Additional Chief Engineer Mr. RK Negi said that the said lab has been built in Shankarpur, Ujjain at a cost of five crores. Here, testing of transformers, wires and cables will be done in a state-of-the-art manner, the test report will also be generated automatically. Departmental officers Mr. Somnath Markam, Mr. Ajit Lal, Mr. Anshul Carpenter, Mr. Amit Kumar have given commendable support in the establishment of the said lab. Such a NABL accredited lab is already operational at Pologround headquarter in Indore. A NABL level lab not only speeds up the company’s operations but also leads to financial savings.
