King Baba Mahakal of Avantika city is going out on the first procession of Sawan month to know the condition of the subjects and to tour the city. Tomorrow, on Monday, this procession of Baba Mahakal will also be taken out in the city with great pomp. In this procession, Baba Mahakal will appear to his subjects by sitting in the palanquin as Shri Chandramouleshwar.
Assistant Administrator of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee, Mulchandra Junwal said that before the procession of Shri Mahakaleshwar Bhagwan, the ritualistic worship of Lord Shri Chandramouleshwar will be done in the Sabhamandap of the temple. After this, Lord Shri Chandramouleshwar will sit in the palanquin and go on a city tour. At the main gate of the temple, the armed police force personnel will also salute Lord Shri Chandramouleshwar seated in the palanquin. The first procession of Sawan month will be taken out tomorrow on 22 July. The last royal procession of Lord Mahakal in the month of Bhado will be taken out on 2 September. Five processions will be taken out in the month of Sawan and two processions in the month of Bhado. The processions to be taken out in the month of Sawan-Bhadon will be taken out on Monday 22 July, Monday 29 July, Monday 5 August, Monday 12 August, Monday 19 August, Monday 26 August and Shahi procession on Monday 2 September respectively.

Baba Mahakal’s procession will start at its scheduled time after performing Puja-Archana in the Sabha Mandap of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and will reach the main gate of the temple, here Lord Shri Mahakal will be saluted by the soldiers of the Armed Police Force. Its procession will reach Ramghat Shipra bank via Gudri Chauraha, Bakshi Bazaar, Kaharwadi. After the worship-archana here, the procession will reach Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple via Ramanujkot, Modh ki Dharamshala, Kartik Chowk, Khati Samaj Mandir, Satyanarayan Mandir, Dhaba Road, Tanki Chauraha, Chhatri Chowk, Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, Gudri Bazaar. Apart from the above route, the royal procession will reach Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on September 2 from Tanki Square via Mirza Naimbeg, Teliwara Square, Kanthal, Satigate, Sarafa, Chhatri Chowk, Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, Gudri Square.
The time of Bhasma Aarti will change in the month of Sawan-Bhadon
The time of Bhasma Aarti of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar will change in the month of Sawan-Bhadon. From 22 July to 2 September, the time of opening of the temple doors will be 3 am. The time of Bhasma Aarti on every Monday will be 2.30 am. On other days, Bhasma Aarti will be from 3 to 5 am, but every Monday it will be from 2.30 to 4.30 pm.
Devotees will be able to offer water to Shri Mahakaleshwar Lord
Devotees coming from Sabha Mandap and Kartikay Mandap of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple will be able to offer water to Shri Mahakaleshwar Lord. The arrangements have been further strengthened in the Sabha Mandap and Kartikeya Mandap of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple by the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee for offering water to Shri Mahakaleshwar Lord. Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee Administrator and Additional Collector Mrinal Meena said – In view of the number of devotees in the month of Sawan and Bhadrapad, the format of water pots has been expanded. In which the tray for offering water has been increased. Devotees will offer water in the water pot installed at the said place. The water offered by the devotees will be dedicated to Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar through the Abhishek Patra installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple through a pipe. Apart from this, a steel pot will also be kept in the Ganesh Mandap for offering water during darshan.
Hotels charging arbitrary money will be sealed
Collector Mrinal Singh said that hotels charging more money than the prescribed rate list will be sealed. Along with this, action will also be taken to cancel their registration. He said that as per the wishes of the Chief Minister, a team of tribal artists will also participate in Baba Mahakal’s ride.
There will be uninterrupted broadcast of the procession through mobile chariots
For the procession to be taken out every Monday in the month of Sawan-Bhadon, Baba Mahakal’s procession will be broadcast live from 2 mobile chariots. With this, devotees will easily have darshan of Baba Mahakal’s Shri Vigraha in the procession.
More than 2000 police force will be deployed in the procession
Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma said that more than 2000 police force and volunteers will be deployed to maintain security arrangements during Baba Mahakal’s processions. Verification of various streets falling on the procession route has been done. Physical verification action will also be taken from Sunday morning. The entire procession route will be monitored through five drones. Double layer barricading has been done for easy darshan of devotees and traffic management. A buffer zone has been created to maintain traffic system. Boundover and restrictive action is being taken by checking suspicious people to maintain law and order. Officers in charge will be appointed in the parking system who will ensure that the devotees are not charged more than the prescribed fee. Drivers will be checked through alcohol test device.
