Two players from Jashpur district will show their talent in the National Archery Competition
The 24th State Level School Sports (Archery) Competition was organized in Raipur from 6 October to 9 October 24. In this competition, Manoj Ram, a player of the Special Backward Tribe (Pahari Korwa) category of Archery Center and Eklavya Sports Academy Jashpur, operated under the District Administration in Jashpur district, got selected for the national level competition by securing third position in the under 17 years compound round and winning the bronze medal. Similarly, player Mr. Akash Ram got selected for the national level competition by securing first position in the under 14 years compound round and winning the gold medal. Both the players will represent the state of Chhattisgarh at the national level.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is constantly making efforts to encourage sports and boost the morale of the players. Chief Minister Mr. Sai has given his best wishes to both the players of Jashpur district for moving forward in the field of sports and congratulated them for bringing laurels to the state. It is noteworthy that more than 350 archers from all five divisions of the state participated in the 24th State Level School Sports (Archery) Competition, in which 6 archers from the Archery Center of District Administration Jashpur and Eklavya Sports Academy Jashpur participated in the competition.
In this archery competition, Manoj Ram, a player of Special Backward Tribe (Pahari Korwa) category, has been selected for the Under 17 National Level Archery Competition. That competition will be held in Nadiad, Gujarat from 11 November to 12 November 2024, for which the selected team left for Gujarat from Raipur today. Similarly, the Under 14 National Level Archery Competition will be held in Nadiad, Gujarat from 19 December 2024 to 20 December 2024, for which Mr. Akash Ram has been selected from Jashpur district, he will leave for Nadiad from Raipur on 17 December 2024 with the team.
