Traffic advisory regarding Republic Day, metro station closed during parade

Delhi. Republic Day parade will be organized on the duty path on Friday. The parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10:30 am and will pass through C-Hexagon via Duttapath and end at Red Fort. A related ceremony will be organized at the National War Memorial, India Gate at 9.30 am.

According to the advisory, the Republic Day parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and move towards the Red Fort ground. There will be a ceremony at the National War Memorial and India Gate at 9.30 am. There will be traffic arrangements and restrictions on the parade route. The advisory said the parade will pass through Vijay Chowk, Dutta Path, C-Hexagon, Subhash Chandra Bose Square, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Red Fort.

Apart from this, no traffic will be allowed on the duty route from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on Wednesday. Restrictions will continue even after the parade is over. The advisory states that no traffic will be allowed on the duty route on Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road from 10 pm on Wednesday night till the end of the parade. C-Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed for traffic from 9.15 am on Thursday till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. It said that from 10.30 am on Thursday, traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg.

Cross-traffic will be allowed only in view of the parade moment. Let us tell you that alternative routes have also been suggested in the advisory which drivers can take into consideration. The advisory said that to reach the temple route, travelers can take the route from Madrasa, Lodhi Road T-Point to Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road-Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg and Shankar Road.

During this period, movement of vehicles on the parade routes will be completely restricted. The traffic police has advised people to use alternative routes.

According to the traffic police, to ensure that there is no obstruction on the way to the parade, traffic movement on the duty route from Vijay Chowk to C-Hexagon will be restricted till the end of the parade. Rafi Marg crossing, Janpath crossing and Mansingh Road crossing from Dutvapath will be closed for vehicles from 11 pm on Thursday night. Vehicles will not be able to cross these crossings until the parade is over. C-Hexagon will remain completely closed for vehicular movement from 915 am on Friday till the passing of the parade.

Auto taxis will not come
There will be a ban on plying of auto-taxis around the parade route after 7 am on Friday. Mother Teresa Crescent, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Ashoka Road, Patel Chowk, Sansad Marg to Tolstoy Marg, Tolstoy Marg to Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Kasturba Gandhi Marg to Firoz Shah Road, Firoz Shah Road to Manda House, Bhagwan Das Road, Auto-taxis will not ply on Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharati Marg and Sardar Patel Road.

Carts carrying goods banned
From 9 pm on Thursday night till the end of the parade, vehicles carrying goods will not be allowed to enter from any border of Delhi. Heavy vehicles will be banned on Ring Road between ISBT Sarai Kale Khan and ISBT Kashmiri Gate from 730 am to 130 pm on 26th.

Metro stations will remain closed during the parade
Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan metro station will be kept closed during the parade on Friday morning. From 5 am to 12 noon, passengers will neither be able to alight nor board the metro at both the stations. Metro will continue to run on this route like a normal day.

Special arrangement for VIP
There is less space in VIP parking every year on the occasion of Republic Day. This time VIP parking will be near their sitting area. The vehicles of the guests coming to the program have been given labels to reach the parking lot.

Parking lots at railway stations will remain closed
There will be no parking of vehicles at New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station and Anand Vihar Railway Station from 8 pm on January 25 to 12 noon on January 26.

The arrangement will be like this
C-Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed for traffic from 9.15 am on Thursday till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. Traffic will not be allowed on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg from 10.30 am on Thursday.

Only cross-traffic will be allowed depending on the speed of the parade.

To reach Mandir Marg, travelers can take the route from Madrasa, Lodhi Road T-Point to Aurobindo Marg, AIIMS Chowk, Ring Road-Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg and Shankar Road.

Flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized powered aircraft, quadcopters or parajumping from aircraft will remain banned till February 15. .

Passengers going from South Delhi towards New Delhi Railway Station can pass through Dhaula Kuan, Vande Mataram Marg, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place Outer Circle and Chelmsford Road from Paharganj side and Minto Road and Bhavabhuti Marg from Ajmeri Gate side.

From East Delhi they can reach ISBT Bridge, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Jhandewalan Roundabout, DB Gupta Road, Sheel
