This Indian wicketkeeper batsman Pant is eager to play for the national team again

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant returned to the cricket field after a long time from IPL 2024 in March. Pant was seriously injured in a car accident in December 2022. Pant performed well in the 17th season of IPL, on the basis of which he was successful in making a place in the 15-member Indian team for the T20 World Cup to be held from June 2. Pant is now eager to play for India again and if he gets a chance to play in the playing-11 in the match against Ireland at Nassau County Ground, then Pant will play for the national team after more than 500 days.

The Indian team will play in the T20 World Cup under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma and the team will start its campaign against Ireland. The Indian team is included in Group-A and the team also has to face Pakistan on June 9 in this phase. Pant wore the blue jersey of Delhi Capitals on March 23 this year in an emotional comeback after a horrific car accident in 2022 but he is more looking forward to wearing the Indian team jersey. Pant took part in the Indian team’s net season and practiced batting ahead of the practice match against Bangladesh on June 1.

It’s a different feeling to wear the Indian jersey’
Pant said in a video released by BCCI.TV during the net season, ‘It’s a different feeling to come back on the field wearing the Indian team jersey. This is something I missed a lot. Hopefully I will be able to capitalize on this opportunity and perform better from here.’ Pant, who underwent rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for 15 months, was also present during this conversation with teammate Suryakumar Yadav. Pant recalled the time when Suryakumar’s presence helped him deal with the loneliness of his injury management program at the NCA. Pant said, I really enjoyed seeing the team here and meeting them again, spending time, having fun with them, interacting with them.
