There is no change in the dates of Panchayat elections, the commission has clarified the situation

Uttarakhand Panchayat Elections: Clearing the Air-The Uttarakhand State Election Commission has stepped in to address the confusion surrounding the upcoming Panchayat elections. Let’s get everything straight!

 Election Dates Remain Unchanged-No changes have been made to the election schedule. The elections will proceed as planned in two phases: July 24th and July 28th, 2025. Please disregard any rumors to the contrary. The commission urges voters to rely only on official announcements.

 Revote Only in Case of Emergencies-In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or emergencies, preventing voting at a particular polling station, a revote will be scheduled. For issues in the first phase, a revote will be held on July 28th, and for the second phase, July 30th is reserved.

 July 20th Notice: Only About Revotes-A notice released on July 20th by the Election Commission solely addresses revotes. This notice does not affect the main election dates. The commission has explicitly stated that this notice should not be misinterpreted.

Revote Timing and Counting Date Confirmed-Any revotes will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM. The vote counting remains scheduled for July 31st, 2025, as previously announced. No changes have been made to this date.
