Uttarakhand: People in Uttarakhand have been dealing with dry cold weather for the past few days. However, today, the weather is expected to change, bringing rain and snowfall to the region. There’s also a possibility of hailstorms in several areas. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Dehradun and six other districts in the state. Weather Change Expected Today Today, the weather could shift, leading to heavy rain and hail across the plains and mountains. A warning has been issued for rain and hail in seven districts of the state. Additionally, areas above 3,000 meters in elevation are likely to experience snowfall today.

The Meteorological Center has announced a yellow alert for rain and hail in the following seven districts: Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar. The expected rain may lead to a drop in temperatures, and the fog in the plains might also see some relief.  Cold Snap Likely Due to Weather Changes With the change in weather, there’s a chance of a severe cold snap in the plains due to rain and snowfall in the mountains. The weather is expected to remain unsettled today and tomorrow. On January 12, snowfall is anticipated in the higher elevations of Uttarakhand, while rain is expected in the lower areas.
